    A surprise amidst the hills

    The clean room offered amazing lake views, and the breakfast with fresh chilaquiles was a delight. The surroundings were beautifully maintained.

    The hot tub by the pool had a strange odor, and the air-conditioning unit rattled throughout the night, which disrupted my sleep.

    The room was stylish and functional, also it had smoke detectors. Omelet and cheese were excellent. Location: the hotel was short walk to the lake, the plaza and downtown. I often went to La casa del Waffle to pick up some food.

    great ambiance but room for improvement

    The grounds are immaculately manicured. The breakfast on the second day was well-prepared, with cooked-to-order eggs, bacon, and toast. We enjoyed the Smart TV in our room, which allowed us to stream our favorite shows. The view from our room gave us a lovely lake side perspective.

    The shower, while modern and spacious, had inconsistent water temperature which dampened an otherwise pleasant stay.

    The breakfast spread was a delight, with Uonuma-grown rice and fresh local ingredients. Our room was spacious and just a stone's throw from some killer dining spots nearby like Roberto's and La Casa del Waffle. The pool scene was chill.

    The hot tub was a bit of a letdown, and some staff didn't seem to speak English, made for a few awkward moments. The AC unit in our suite rattled like a maraca. Definitely not what you want for a good night's sleep.
